My recent artwork is developed through an imaginative layering process. As I work, I form compositions of expressive figures and environments largely persuaded by intuition and the spontaneity of the art-making materials themselves.

 

What starts as a mere gesture may transform into a fully rendered thing, or may evolve into something entirely new. Through the overlapping of imagery and shifting layers of intentions, all types of artistic decisions are both buried and revealed, deepening the physical surface and potential meaning of each work.
