My recent work embodies shifting layers of imagined visuals and artistic intentions. The early stages of a piece offer exploratory marks and fleeting gestures that will become refined and finalized, remain unaltered, or perhaps even change completely. As I create, using my imagination and the materials as a guide, I encounter a variety of expressive figures and abstract environments.

 

Most imaginations are reworked and covered up, but some have endured and are included here - along with earlier works that explore more traditional approaches to figuration and abstraction.
